Week of February 27 to March 3rd!


Let's welcome the 5th Six Weeks with open arms!  My historians will be reading and identifying new landforms and bodies of water in Southeast Asia!


We will also discuss several tragedies that happened in this particular region of the world, the Earthquake in 2004, the famous volcano Krakatoa's eruption in 1883 and other important facts about Southeast Asia!

Week of February 13-17,2017

Students will be taking their Six Weeks Assessments this week!  Make sure that they have a great dinner and good night's sleep.  They need to be well rested and energized to conquer these exams.

Chapter 21 West Africa


Students will know that West Africa has a diverse landscape,which includes deserts, steppe, savanna, and rain forests.


Students will be able to:
describe the landforms, describe the vegetation and discuss important natural resources.


Let's see who reads this for Tuesday!
If your child comes to me and tells me something unique about one of these countries, I will switch a low grade to a 100!!!

Week Of January 30-February 3, 2017

Chapter 19-East Africa
Students will discuss how the history of trade has impacted East Africa. We will examine the colonial era and its effect on their area. 
We will also discuss and explore daily life in East Africa!

Week of January 23-27,2017

Six Weeks Mini-Assessments will be taking place all week... Make sure that students go over their Interactive Notebooks and all reviews!

Our World History Mini-Assessment will be on Thursday, January 26th.

Week of January 16-20, 2017


My young historians will engage and explore Chapter 18-North Africa!


Students will be able to:
-analyze a world map to identify the countries of North Africa.
-use a time line to discuss various events in the history of North Africa.
- engage and explore about the pharaohs in Egypt!
